Sandra Apolinar-Jordan

Coach Apolinar graduated from G. W. Brackenridge High School in 1995 where she lettered in Volleyball and Track.  She continued her education at UTSA with a BS in Chemistry. Upon Graduation, Coach Apolinar taught Chemistry, IPC and Biology at Jefferson High School for the first 6 years of her teaching career. In 2008 she went back to her roots and has taught Physics, Anatomy and Physiology and AP Biology at Brackenridge High School, where she is actively involved in faculty (science teacher), athletic, and student affairs.  In 2008 she received her MS in Physiology from The University of Texas Health Science Center. She currently teaches Dual Credit Anatomy and Physiology and Dual Credit Biology where students get both high school credit and college credit from St. Philip’s College and is the Girls Athletic Coordinator.

While teaching, she has spent 4 of those years in athletics as a coach of Track & Field and the head Cross Country coach of highly competitive teams for Brackenridge High School athletic programs, recruiting, and developing talent at the high school, junior varsity, and varsity levels. 

Coach Apolinar and her husband, Eddie Jordan Started the SA Eagles Athletics Club (SAEAC) in 2014 as a non-profit organization to extend the opportunities running and Track and Field can provide to the underserved youth in communities surrounding Brackenridge High School in San Antonio.  The SA Eagles Track Club is the summer program for the SAEAC.  Coach Apolinar is currently an active runner in the San Antonio area.


Otho “Eddie” Jordan


Coach Jordan graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1978 where he lettered in
Track and Cross Country. He continued his education at UTSA with a BS in Physical
Education and Biology. Upon Graduation, Coach Jordan Taught Human Anatomy and
Physiology and Biology for 32 years at Brackenridge High School, where he was actively
involved in faculty (science teacher), athletic, and student affairs.

While teaching, he spent 30 of those years in athletics as a coach of multiple sports, to include
25 years of experience as (22 as the head) Track and Field coach, and 15 years as the head
Cross Country coach of highly competitive teams for Brackenridge High School athletic
programs, recruiting, and developing talent at the high school, junior varsity, and varsity levels.
Coach Jordan recently added the Page Middle School Cross Country teams to his roster.

Coach Jordan and his wife, Sandra Apolinar-Jordan Started the SA Eagles Athletics Club
